THE SOUTHERN IRISH TERRIER SOCIETY OPEN SHOW IN CONJUNCTION WITH CHRISTCHURCH & NEW FOREST CS

JUNE 6TH 2007 - JUDGE MR PETER EVA

The Southern Irish Terrier Society Club Open Show ran in conjunction with the Christchurch & New Forest Open Show.  the Irish club had bought green baseball caps,. suitably embroidered with an Irish Terrier head to get in the spirit of the day.  The 'Irish' have the gift for making one welcome and I enjoyed my day with the dogs, the sunshine, the people and the hat!

Puppy Dog/Bitch (7) (4a) - Really super class of top quality puppies, all of them.
1st  Seabridge's SUJONCLA SINTE GAESHAKE.  Very promising youngster, firm, correct topline with laid back shoulders, straight in front with enough chest, bite, teeth, ears with good eye, colour, expression, moved well.  Just beat on style a smashing bitch puppy.  BP
2nd  Bradleyh's MONTELLE SHE'S A LADY.  Well handled, great forehead, straight front, reach of neck, head set on well with flat skull, correct foreface, good topline & tailset.  One to like & will watch her progress.
3rd  Batley's PENMIRE DINGLE DANNY.

Junior Dog/Bitch (6) (1a)
1st  Bradley's BRILLIANT MR SIRIUS AT MONTELLE.  All male & confident with it, great Irish character, super harsh wiry coat, dense & crisp on legs & foreface, good expression, dark eye, bite & teeth.  Like all Irish dogs of all ages were in super clean condition, a credit to the breed, firm hard muscle, straight in body & limb.  Needed a little space to find his rhythm, moving away.  Very nice.  RBD
2nd  Seabridge's SUJONCLA TECUMSEH.  Very good on topline with straight front, good coat of correct texture, tail well on, head detail correct.

Post Graduate Dog/Bitch (6) (4a)
1st  Bradley's BRILLIANT MR SIRIUS AT MONTELLE.

3rd  Rhode's KILCAVAN PEASBLOSSOM.

Limit Dog/Bitch (5) (3a)
1st  Goddard's MARSHCOURT TOPAZ.  Best moving in the class, good body form with strong, fit front & back-end tail well on.
2nd  Fletcher's BALROYAL DISCO DANCER.  Not moving well which let her down.
3rd  Ruffles' RUFFMAR BRONZED DANCER.

Open Dog (3) (1a)
1st  Seabridge's BALENGRON TBEN TAINTE AT SUJONCLA.  Really top drawer, stunning Irish, forehand to die for, straight in leg & pastern, plenty of bone, strong feet, shoulders laid back, reach of neck with head well on, long flat skull, little stop, eye well set & dark, nose black, super topline, just enough over loin, tail well on, moving in profile is a joy to see, covering more ground than a lot of breeds, both ends working, away & towards moved as made.  BD & BOB.  G1 from a nicely moving Wire & Sealyham.  Put down in in fit muscular, clean condition.

Open Bitch (8) (4a)
1st  Strahlman's SW CH ARKANS UDDA.  Put down with considerable expertise & style.  Straight in front in front, lay-back of shoulder, well boned, coat strong & harsh, great head, bite, Irish eye, strong muscular backend providing lots of drive, moved well.  Slightly different outline to dog winner & providing interesting variations.  BB & RBOB.
