Championship Show 2008

THE SOUTHERN IRISH TERRIER SOCIETY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

OCTOBER 4TH 2008 - JUDGE DR MONICA BOGGIA-BLACK

I thoroughly enjoyed judging one of my favourite breeds & to be among real terrier people & I must congratulate the Southern Irish Terrier Association for putting on a really good show.  There were a lot of really sound moving & well presented exhibits - in fact presentation seems to be getting better & better.  I was concerned with number of over-sized exhibits which were for the most part very sound & perhaps to most all rounders, construction is more important than size, but when is big just too big & how much can we forgive very doggie bitches.  On the plus side temperament seems to be great & it is heart warming to see that wonderful Irish sparkle, still very evident among the dogs.
