THE SOUTHERN IRISH TERRIER SOCIETY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
OCTOBER 7TH 2006 - JUDGE MR LENNART STAHLE (SHALLCOME)
The Southern Irish Terrier Society held a Champ Show where BIS was SAREDON STORM FRONT; RBIS, KERRYKEEL CRYSTAL OF COURTINTON; & BP, SAREDON CELTIC TIGER.
The entry must be considered as satisfying with 48 dogs but there were 11 absentees. The dogs that came under me were of mixed quality but my winners were very good. What really struck me was that many dogs did not move due to either faulty construction or lack of exercise. I thought that it was quite remarkable that the Veteran Bitch was one of the best moving dogs at the show.

Minor Puppy Dog (5) (1a)
1st Averis' SAREDON CELTIC TIGER. Excellent type, very promising young puppy, excels in head & expression, good size & bone, excellent coat, a little open in angulations, moved & showed well, when it came to the challenge there was no hesitation awarding him RDCC, BDP & BPIS
2nd Bradley's BRILLIANT MR SIRIUS AT MONTELLE. Slightly bigger with a lot of substance, good expression, movement not to advantage.
3rd Boyce's COLLINGHAM COOLBOY.

1st Averis' SAREDON STORM FRONT. Excellent typoe, wonderful head, with nice ear, eye & pigmentation which results into a very good expression, good bone for size, very good shoulder, good length of body, moved very well, excellent coat, showed very well. DCC & BIS

1st Nevill's MONTELLE LORD MONTAGUE. Good type, on the big side with a lot of substance, nice expression with dark ear & eye, although a little coarse in head, good body with good angulation, moved well.
Limit Dog (3) (1a)
1st Bradley's FARMLANDS LORD OF THE RING AT MONTELLE. Very good type & size, excellent head, good expression, very nice standing but on the move he falls apart.
2nd Gilbert's CARAC KEENAN. Good type, big, needs to tighten up in body & movement.

1st Rhodes' KILCAVAN PEASEBLOSSOM. nice bitch of good type, a little coarse in head but good pigmentation & expression, very good coat, moved well.
2nd Looker's EDBRIOS VITAL SPARK. Good type, likes food, good body proportions, did not move to advantage.
Minor Puppy Bitch (1)
1st Bamsey's HOLBAM TIERNEY. Good type, good expression, ears need to settle, nice body, good coat, rather unsteady in movement.

1st Barker's KELLS AMERICAN HERITAGE ARAF TAF. Very good type, elegant & fine, long lean head, good expression, pigmentation on nose & feet could improve, needs to tighten up in movement.
2nd Bamsey's HOLBAM TIERNEY.
Junior Bitch (5) (3a)
1st Looker's FROSTROW FIRST LIGHT. Good type, soft coat, food proportions & expression, moved well.
2nd Fletcher's BALIROLYAT MARTH'S CHOICE. Good type, nice head & expression, light ears.

1st Looker's FROSTROW FIRST LIGHT.

1st Wooding's SUJONCLA WHITE HORSE. Excellent type, very good head & expression, good wheaten colored coat, a little black in furnishings, good body proportions, excellent structure which results in good movement.
2nd Averis' SAREDON EASTER PARADE. Excellent type, dark colour & very good coat, nice head, well placed ears, good expression, nice neck & shoulder. Lost on movement.
3rd Grant's EDBRIOS BEAUTIFUL VISION AT TICKNOCK.

1st Bradley's MONTELLE CELTIC VISION. Excellent type, very good expression, good pigmentation, dark eye, well placed ears, good body with good proportions, excellent movement. RBCC
2nd Keegan's MARSHCOURT GOLD DUST ALLATSEA. Very good type but a little coarser, sweet expression, good sound construction, very good coat, moved well.
3rd Tritton's AILINGTON BURNING EMBER.

Open Bitch (6) (1a)
1st Hemming's KERRYKEEL CRYSTAL OF COURTINGTON. Excellent type, nice long lean head, good ears & eyes, good pigmentation with typical expression, good neck & shoulder, nice deep brisket, good tailset, moved very well, in details she could be trimmed to better advantage. BCC & RBIS.
2nd Barker & Beila's CRACKERJACK DOLLY. Needs to mature, otherwise very good type.
3rd Boyce's IR CH COLLINGHAM ROSEMARY.
Res Bowyer & Kenyon's SAREDON SINEAD.
Veteran Bitch (2)
1st Ruffles' RUFFMAR BRONZED TEAZEL. 11 years but one of the best movers at the show, very good type, nice expression & pigment, very good body & well kept coat, a tribute to her breeder & owner.
2nd Fletcher's SHINE ON SWEET DREAM TAF. Good type, rather fine in bone but coarse in skull, coat not in condition.
